I got into weight lifting when was in high school and fell in love with it. After getting married and having kids, I stopped making myself a priority and gained a lot of weight. For almost 10 years, I did everything I could to lose the weight but I not only got bigger, but my health began to go downhill. In 2014, after needing helping to get off the couch, I knew that I needed more help than just going on another diet and joining a gym. In January 2015 I had weight loss surgery and finally felt like I got my life back. During my journey, I fell back in love with weight lifting and working out. Because I never felt comfortable in a gym, or had someone who has had to struggle with their weight tell me how to lose weight, I decided to take the steps to become a fitness coach and personal trainer to help those whose shoes I have walked in. I'm currently the conditioning coach for a local cheerleading team, have fitness classes, and a private workout area for my clients. I'm finally able to use the tools with the knowledge I have to help people in a way I didn't have.
