I earned a BS in Sports Fitness in 2000, graduating with honors, certified in Pilates, Group Exercise, Barre, Aerial Yoga, & a Personal Trainer. I learned in 2010 that I have Degenerative Spine Disease and underwent my first cervical spine surgery. At that time, my neurosurgeon urged me to continue doing Pilates for its benefits in spinal alignment, core strength, flexibility, maintenance of muscle tone and muscular balance. I have a passion to bring those same benefits to others that take the Pilates class or who are personal training clients of mine. As a personal trainer, I specialize in pre- and post-natal care, women's fitness, and acute or chronic pain management. I design programs to enhance your metabolism and fit YOUR personal "hormonal soup" and body type. I also am a Pelvic Floor "nerd" and am diligent in making sure that both men and women are learning how to truly engage their core and pelvic floor and "do no harm" with movements beyond the control of their breath and alignment. Coupled with integrity of movement through modes such as Pilates, my goal is to assist my clients in making PROGRESS each and every day to be the healthiest they can be.
