I have never been a skinny girl, even in my younger years I was more “athletic.” I struggled with my weight throughout my 20’s and my metabolism came to a halt in my 30’s when I was diagnosed with some thyroid and pituitary conditions. I tipped the scales at 210 and decided enough was enough. I hired a gym trainer and got in to running. I ran all the time and I lost some weight but I ran through injury after injury. Two kids later and I was back to over 200lbs. I met an online trainer and nutrition therapist who completely changed my life. I don’t run much anymore, I love resistance training, I eat more than I ever did and I’m smaller than I was when I graduated from high school. I’ve kept it off for many years...and now it’s time for me to give back.
