Doing physical therapy 2 days this week and keeping it to light core building. I’m just returning to exercise. I’d been working on what I thought was a hip injury. Actually, I had Cauda Equina from a fracture in my spine and had large bone fragments. Had surgery to remove fragments and lamenectomy (the part of the spine you actually feel when touching the skin over your spine) on L2-L3.
Silvie, I would ask how I could address my reduced hip flexibility. I am unable to sit on the floor comfortably with my legs crossed as my knees sit up level with my shoulders. I don't have general flexibility issues and can go hands to floor and further without difficulty. I did daily yoga including under an instructor for several years with minimal improvement and eventually reduced my yoga due to an inability to achieve many of the poses due to this issue & from having knee pain from the knees trying to achieve the rotation my hips wouldn't.
