Description

This program is designed to improve stamina; the strength and energy that sustain your physical and mental efforts for long periods of time. Increasing stamina helps you endure discomfort or stress during activities. Deep, steady breathing delivers more oxygen into your body, which also increases energy levels. Coupled with long-held yoga postures, breathing creates gentle movement that releases tension. Recognizing your muscles and sensations cultivates intelligence that helps your body and mind to direct movement into targeted body parts. This is important because tension takes away from flexibility, which in turn takes away from strength. We are going to start each session with a few deep breaths, hold several different poses, and then finish in a deep resting pose to regenerate our systems.
